2023. vintage brass kitchen labels from my first job, more brass.

W4 Industries. Timber, hardware, building supplies and secondhand goods. I got a job there when I was 14. I would go back and visit until Bill died, big old guy who would slide a slice of white bread across a tub of margarine and talk about time travel.

These were just a box of 70's Indian brass, perfectly wrapped in squares of tissue paper. Incomplete random kitchen set. I got all my favourite items. These'd be my last foods on earth. Bill gifts. Dunno. Also money and gossip.

I went through TSA on a work trip forgetting these were in my pockets, bless being a non threatening white woman I guess. I knew I was ok once I saw it was making some of the guards laugh. I always think I'm going to be deported.
